Hey guys-whew, don't think I've uploaded anything in about a month! But I'll be changing that and tryna get more frequent crap uploaded :P

Anyway, so this is a little something I've been workin on over the holidays. One of those works where I learnt a lot through irreversible mistakes (note 2 self-NEVER paint on paper...ever). But overall, it came out well don't you think :)?

A3 size
Pen and pencil crayon (painted background)

References for work are right here :

Death Note was incredible to watch, just too unique. So far I'm waiting for the new FairyTail launch (should be before May), where they continue the anime from where they left off :)

Looks beautiful, and impressive you were able to get her face so realistic from an (admittedly also very realistic) drawing.  The colours merge into each other nicely too.  Another piece of high quality work, nice to see.

Just a tip my friend- you can paint on paper as long as you use gesso first  In the art class I was in, a lot of my classmates would do that

Aaah really! I didn't know! Because I tried this exact same "mottled" method in my other painti work-and it turned out awesome, but I just couldn't emulate it on paper. I'll try look around for that gesso, thnx

No problem- I've heard of spray sealants for paper too, but I've never tried any (other than the typical finishing sprays)

That looks awesome! I love your work with the pens; the blue tone you gave her looks fantastic. It's amazing you managed to do it with only two colours.

Hello again! I shall get straight to the point, cause that's what I do.

The contrast of colors is brilliant; everything stands out nicely, and Sellene's details pop out well. I'm a sucker for contrast, so I like what you did here. The "Firefox" was a nice touch too, lol. I suppose the only off putting thing would be the background. It just looks somewhat bland. I realize this was probably an intentional decision to bring better contrast, but I'm sure there's many interesting grey looking things you could put in, because atm I'm not sure what it is. The presence of a background also makes the head floating in mid-air and the fact that it casts shadows more out of place than I'd usually notice. I suppose your piece just needs more "context", if you know what I mean. This is more personal preference tbh, so feel free to ignore my criticisms, but that's what I think anyways.

I look forward to your future projects!

Thanks for this super critique, I totally undertsand what you mean. I kinda feel like I messed up that background: but I guess you live and you learn hy :P. Thanks again
